non-figurative

Question:

virtually all the pictures on this site are non-figurative is this intentional?

Answer:

There's no intention to omit figurative images. It's a consequence of the nature of the introductory contemplative photography assignements. Shooting contemplative images of people is more difficult and is introduced later on.

Use of the photos

Question:

Assuming you've taken some photos, gone back and reviewed them and kept the ones that continue to inspire, that really carry the original freshness - is there a future use for them? Do they become the subject of future meditation? Thank you!

Answer:

I'm not sure that the photos are ever subjects of meditation, but they could offer viewers an experience of freshness similar to what you experienced when you made the image.
